Prior to Move In

Tips for Roommates
A great living experience starts with communication and collaboration. Building strong roommate relationships begins with open conversations and shared expectations. To help you start off on the right foot, we’ve put together some helpful tips and conversation starters to guide you before move-in. Check out the list below to make your shared space work better for everyone.
When You Arrive
Stay in your car! We do a complete drive thru move-in! When you pull into the community there will be team members ready to greet and guide you! During your drive thru move-in, you will receive your keys, parking information and move-in packet! After the parking attendants direct you where to park, you will be will be directed to your building. It’s that easy!
Move-In Essentials
As move-in day approaches, we recommend packing a separate tote bag with your day-one essentials so they’re easy to access during the move. To help make your transition as smooth and stress-free as possible, we’ve included a handy checklist of recommended items to bring. Before purchasing any shared items, be sure to coordinate with your roommates to avoid duplicates and unnecessary expenses, and don’t forget to check out the Tips for Roommates section for additional guidance.
Parking
Our parking lot will be open from 8am-7pm during the move in. Anyone who does not have a reserved parking spot for the Fall lease term will need to be out of the parking lot by 7pm or will be subject to towing. Each resident will be allowed 2 vehicles in the the parking lot. However, no trailers will be allowed in 2818 and Parkway Place parking lot. Any additional vehicles or trailers will be directed to park elsewhere in the visitor parking lot.
Inventory & Condition
Once you’ve received your keys, the 2818 and Parkway Place team will send you an electronic form to your resident portal. This checklist is called the Inventory & Condition form which is a required form with a deadline of 48 hours to complete. On this form, you will go room by room to review, report and snap pictures of any pre-existing blemish you find to ensure the property knows what was already there before you! This protects you from paying any damage fees during your move out because the blemish was not caused by you.
